    Healthcare 18 April 2024 1300

The Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee of Uzbekistan has instructed to withdraw the syrup "Rinotin Kids" from all pharmacies in the country.

Recently, posts have appeared on social networks criticizing the quality of the syrup "Rinotin Kids", where users reported the presence of mold on the lids.

According to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee, the syrup "Rinotin Kids" is not a medicinal product, but is a biologically active additive. The import of products to Uzbekistan was allowed in April 2022, and a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion confirming safety was received for it.

The Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee conducted a corresponding study. It was decided to withdraw the syrup from circulation.

It is noted that the permission to sell the syrup was withdrawn in order to prevent possible cases of poisoning among the population.

CYNERGY PHARMCO was instructed to recall "Rinotin Kids" syrups produced by Rad Gida Laboratuvarive Ilac Sanayi Ticaret Limited from all retail chains and pharmacies in Uzbekistan.

At the moment, the products have already been withdrawn from 28 pharmacies. Preventive measures are continuing.

Citizens are advised to check biologics for safety through an electronic catalog posted on the committee's website.
