Wiki loves monuments (WLM) is an annual international photo contest held in September-October by Wikimedians from various countries. The aim is to draw attention to the historical architectural heritage.
To participate in the competition, it is necessary to take pictures of cultural heritage sites of Uzbekistan and upload them to Wikimedia Commons in the period from October 1 to October 31, 2023.
The purpose of Uzbekistan's participation in the competition is to attract broad public attention to the cultural heritage of the republic and promote tourism.
The republican stage of the contest was organized by a group of Uzbek-speaking Wikimedians together with members of the Russian community "Wiki guide" with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, the Wikimedia Foundation and UNESCO.
The authors of the best works will be awarded with certificates and valuable prizes.
