In order to prevent a loan transaction from being processed without his participation or knowledge, an individual may prohibit entering into a loan transaction with him by submitting an application to a credit bureau.
An application for a ban on concluding a loan transaction or lifting such a ban is submitted through the EPIGU, CSU or credit bureaus on the basis of a written or electronic request. This service is provided free of charge.
The application for a ban is immediately entered by the credit bureau into the register of persons who are prohibited from entering into a loan transaction.
It is prohibited to enter into a credit transaction without obtaining information from the register of persons who are prohibited from entering into a credit transaction or the lifting of such a ban.
Additions on measures of influence to credit bureaus are also being made. Thus, the Central Bank applies measures and sanctions to credit bureaus for committing the following violations:
· non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the exchange of credit information and regulating the activities of credit bureaus;
· violation of the rights of consumers of credit bureau services;
· establishing the fact of obtaining a license using forged documents.
When violations are detected, the Central Bank has the right to apply the following measures and sanctions:
· to send instructions to the credit bureaus on the elimination of violations, including on the elimination of the causes leading to the violation of the rights of consumers of credit bureaus' services;
· collect a fine of up to 5,000 rubles. BRV.
