The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change warns that the burning of fallen leaves, dry grass and other plant residues in fields and settlements entails liability under the law.

Such actions entail a violation of article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Nature Protection", articles 4, 24 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the protection of atmospheric Air", as well as the imposition of a fine on citizens in the amount of 3 to 5 BRV (from 1 million 20 thousand soums to 1 million 700 thousand soums) and officials - from 5 to 10 BRV (from 1 million 700 thousand soums to 3 million 400 thousand soums) according to part 3 of Article 88 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

Attention! Burning of plant residues leads to the release of large amounts of carbon monoxide into the atmosphere, which poses a serious danger not only to the environment, but also to human health.

"It is forbidden to burn foliage, straw and other remnants of plants in fields and settlements! Remember, the prevention of environmental pollution is the duty of each of us!", - noted in the Ministry of Ecology.
