According to Report, the launch broadcast from the Tanegashima cosmodrome in the southwest of the country was conducted by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

It is noted that if the satellite is successfully launched into orbit, it will become the fifth operating device to operate the Japanese Michibiki global positioning system, officially known as the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS). It is planned to increase the number of Michibiki satellites to seven by 2026, and to eleven by the end of the 2030s.
