As is
known, a new financing system was introduced in the healthcare sector by a
relevant decree of the President on September 5, 2024. Today, this reform is
beginning to yield its initial results.
This is
confirmed by the results of the first six months of the current year.
Specifically, in January–June 2026, a total of 1,490,126 patients received
inpatient medical care funded by the State Medical Insurance Fund.
For this
purpose, a total of 752.6 billion soums was transferred to medical institutions
from the State Medical Insurance Fund. As a result, treatment-related financial
expenses for thousands of families were covered by the state.
By region,
the largest amounts of funds were directed to Samarkand (105.6 billion soums),
Kashkadarya (93 billion soums), and Fergana (74.2 billion soums) regions. The
financing volume grew steadily, reaching its peak in June at 155.7 billion
soums.
