The Polish airline LOT Polish Airlines will connect Tashkent and Warsaw with regular flights. The first passenger flight is scheduled for March 14, 2024.

It is planned that flights in the Tashkent - Warsaw - Tashkent direction will be carried out three times a week - on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

In April and May, the Polish airline announced plans to operate an additional flight on this route on Tuesdays with a planned return to Warsaw on Wednesdays.

"We have developed a timetable that is convenient both for transit passengers choosing Warsaw as a transfer point, and for those whose destination is the capital of Poland. Those traveling in transit through Warsaw will be able to use LOT Polish Airlines' wide route network in Scandinavia, Western and Central Europe with convenient connections in less than 4 hours," said Michal Fiel, CEO of the airline.

"The opening of flights between Warsaw and Tashkent is an important step for us to establish air links with Europe. After the pandemic, LOT Polish Airlines will become the first European airline to open flights to European cities for Uzbeks and to Uzbek cities for Europeans. And we consider this not just as a cooperation between the airline and the airport - the air service will open a new chapter in the development of tourism on both sides. On the first flight, we expect a large group of Polish journalists, bloggers, influencers and tour operators. Together with the Tourism Committee, a two-day program has been developed, within which guests will get acquainted with the culture, architecture, and cuisine of Uzbekistan," added Javlonbek Umarkhodjaev, Head of Uzbekistan Airports.

For reference: LOT Polish Airlines is a Polish airline founded in 1929 and headquartered in Warsaw. The airline is a member of the Star Alliance, the oldest existing, largest and most representative aviation alliance in the world. The airline has about 80 aircraft in its fleet, and the route network consists of more than 100 different destinations.
