The Head of state and representatives of government institutions and the public participated in a tree-planting event.
Previously, this area, located between the Iykota, Majnuntol, Zilola, Rohat, and Iqbol mahallas, remained undeveloped. Now, thanks to the unified efforts of local residents, a new park is being created. Over three hectares, 3,000 trees and shrubs have been planted following a forest landscaping concept, with dedicated services assigned for irrigation and maintenance.
During the event, the President engaged in a warm conversation with mahalla representatives, senior citizens, and young people. He expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to this noble project and extended his Navruz greetings to the attendees.
As part of the month-long improvement campaign initiated by the President, intensive efforts are underway in mahallas to develop agriculture and expand green spaces.
This spring, 125 million trees are planned to be planted. Special attention is being given to the proper selection of planting locations and the improvement of irrigation systems. The trees planted in the new park will continue this large-scale initiative.
In line with the State Program for the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy, 18 forest farms specializing in seedling cultivation will be established this year. Based on the “science – project – practice” principle, efforts in genetic selection will be intensified, and plantations will be expanded. The “Yashil Olam” (Green World) platform will also be launched, allowing people to purchase seedlings online.
