The
leitmotif of the forum is the theme "Transformation together: innovative
and equitable actions to achieve the Goals of Sustainable Development."
The objectives of the event are to accelerate the implementation of the 2030
Agenda for Sustainable Development, promote practical solutions to achieve the
SDGs, and strengthen regional cooperation.
The
Regional Forum became the official contribution of the UNECE region to the work
of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. It provided an
important platform for discussing the progress made, existing challenges and
priorities, as well as sharing best practices in implementing the Sustainable
Development Goals.
In
accordance with the agenda of the 2026 High-level Political Forum on
Sustainable Development, several priority Sustainable Development Goals were
considered within the framework of the event. Special attention is paid to
clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), affordable and clean energy (SDG 7),
industrialization, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), sustainable cities
and human settlements (SDG 11), and partnerships for sustainable development
(SDG 17).
During the
high-level sessions, plenary sessions and round tables, participants discussed
country experiences, policy approaches and practical solutions aimed at
accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The main
focus is on strengthening intersectoral cooperation, expanding innovative
approaches and developing regional exchange of experience.
The
participation of the Uzbek delegation in the forum was an important opportunity
to present the country's efforts in the field of sustainable development,
agriculture and food security, adaptation to climate change, as well as the
expansion of regional cooperation on an international platform.
The
discussions held within the framework of the event contributed to strengthening
Uzbekistan's cooperation with international partners, studying best practices
and the country's active participation in regional cooperation to achieve
Sustainable Development Goals.
