The Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Turkey discussed strengthening bilateral relations

    On September 12, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Hakan Fidan in Tashkent.

    The sides stressed that both Uzbekistan and Turkey are implementing very important reforms aimed at creating the best conditions for their peoples.

    It was noted that the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries is steadily strengthening in all areas without exception.

    The sides also discussed practical aspects of further enriching bilateral relations. Economic cooperation, trade turnover growth, people's diplomacy, academic exchanges, international issues and many other topics were on the agenda.

    It was stressed that the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Turkey will be the locomotives in the implementation of a solid package of agreements between the two countries, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
