"The characters are different: someone in the form of rescuers, someone in a doctor's coat, and someone in overalls. Today I met with Khairullo Ibadullayev. I would like to thank him for this act - he is really a man. Our whole city knows the story of his feat. Risking his own life, he caught a 7-year-old boy who had fallen out of a window. He was injured, but he held the child. I presented him with a badge of distinction for caring, willingness to help and humanity," said Alexander Beglov.

The incident occurred on February 22. Khairullo, who was working in the courtyard of an apartment building, noticed a child playing at an open window in time. The boy fell off, and the janitor managed to catch him on the fly, softening the fall. Thanks to Hairullo's quick and dedicated response, the child remained alive and was promptly taken to the hospital.

Khairullo Ibadullayev has been working at the cleaning company since December 2025. He moved to St. Petersburg from Orenburg, where he also cleaned the streets. His family - his wife and four children - lives in Uzbekistan.

The man's selfless act was also noted at home: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded him the Jasorat medal ("Courage"). In addition, Khairullo became the winner of the Tigran Keosayan Prize, for which he received a monetary reward of one million rubles.
