It is claimed that the satellite weighing about 60 kg was developed by the Electronic Industry company of Iran in cooperation with the Aviation and Space Institute of Iran and private high-tech companies.
"Its main task is to test hardware and software systems to confirm the technology of maneuvering in orbit at altitude and phase," the report says.
The first signal from the satellite in orbit has already been received.
Earlier this January, for the first time in Iran, three spacecraft were simultaneously launched into orbit – a light satellite called Mahda and two nanosatellites.
In the same month, Iran launched its own Soraya satellite. It was launched into orbit by a three-stage solid-fuel launch vehicle Quem-100, reports korrespondent.net.
