Iran has begun building barriers along the border with Pakistan and Afghanistan

    The Iranian authorities have begun the construction of barriers in five provinces bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan.

    As the Report reports with reference to Eghtesaad24, this was stated by Brigadier General Ahmad AliGudarzi.

    According to him, the aim of the project is to prevent the smuggling of fuel and goods, as well as to counteract illegal migration.

    The general added that the financing of the project is guaranteed, and the task is to deliver the necessary equipment to the construction sites.

    The Iranian authorities plan to spend a total of about $ 3 billion on strengthening the border, Iranian media say.
