Cinematographers of Uzbekistan and Turkey will make a historical documentary about Mirzo Ulugbek

    Director General of the Turkish Cinematography Agency Erkin Yilmaz and his deputy Kemal Uysal arrived in Uzbekistan. During the visit, Uzbekistan and Turkey signed a number of agreements on the creation of new film projects.

    The parties also exchanged experiences on the organization of the XIV Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road".

    "Turkey's rich history and experience in the field of cinema create new opportunities for us. I am sure that the Tashkent International Film Festival will further strengthen the relationship between the two fraternal peoples," said Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director General of the Cinematography Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    During the meeting, the issues of filming a historical documentary film dedicated to the ruler and scientist Mirzo Ulugbek and his student Ali Kushchi together with cinematographers of Turkey and Uzbekistan were discussed.

    At the same time, it was decided to make a film about a new level of cultural and political relations between the two countries. Agreements were also reached on the trip of young Uzbek cinematographers to Turkey for training and practice.
