As part of the project "SCADA/EMS/RTU and telecommunication and fiber optic cables", JSC "National Electric Networks" attracts funds from the World Bank in the amount of 115 million US dollars to cover the costs associated with the installation of information systems, the purchase of optical cables, as well as goods, works, consulting and non-consulting services.
As part of the project, digital devices will be installed at 113 substations and 2,900 km of fiber-optic communication network will be laid.
As a result, modern digital and telecommunication technologies aimed at improving the processes of control, management and operation of the power transmission system will be introduced. These include the creation of a new technical and software complex for dispatching control and data collection, as well as a power supply management system. At the same time, it is possible to prevent and promptly eliminate possible accidents, remotely transmit data online.
Procurement is carried out in accordance with the procedures specified in the Procurement Manual for Contracts financed by the World Bank. The competition is open to all eligible companies and individuals, as indicated in the Procurement Guidelines for Borrowers of the World Bank. It is planned that after negotiations on the project, the World Bank will publish the agreed preliminary procurement plan and all updates on its official website.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the acceptance of tender proposals is planned until November 30 of this year.
