Mikhail Mishustin visited the Victory Park Memorial Complex in Tashkent

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, visited the Victory Park Memorial Complex in Tashkent.

The Victory Park was opened on May 9, 2020 at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan to perpetuate the memory of the heroism of the Uzbeks on the battlefields of the Second World War and their selfless work in the rear.

The vast territory of the complex is divided into several zones, each with its own emotional coloring. These zones show the horrors of war and soldiers’ heroism, the steadfastness and dedication of home front workers, grief and sadness, and the joy and gratitude of the people.

The high-ranking guest paid tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers and laid wreaths at the monument Ode to Fortitude, erected in memory of the widow Zulfiya Zakirova, who lost five sons in the war. He also visited the Museum of Glory, dedicated to the history of Uzbekistan’s participation in the Second World War. He left an entry in the Book of Honored Guests.

It should be noted that in a short period of time, this park has become one of the most crowded places in Tashkent, which is always full of visitors.
