Jakhongir Aminov became the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel

    A new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan, Jakhongir Aminov, arrived in Israel today.

    He is 49 years old. After graduating from the Faculty of International Economic Relations of the Samarkand Cooperative Institute (now the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service), he worked in the Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions, in the city of Tashkent, the Dune news agency reports.

    Since 2000, he has been working in the Foreign Ministry system, including in the central office and embassies of Uzbekistan in Israel and Azerbaijan. To date, he has worked as the head of the Department for Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation with the CIS countries.

    Jakhongir Aminov replaced Feruza Makhmudova, who headed the Embassy in 2020-2023.
