The delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Sports Development, First Deputy Chairman of the Weightlifting Federation of the country Shakhrullo Makhmudov was met by Minister Adham Ikramov, Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov and a large sports community.
Congratulating the Uzbek athletes on their achievements, the officials noted that they expect even greater results from them in the future. In particular, the victory of Ruslan Nurudinov, who became a two-time world champion in the weight category up to 109 kg, was once again noted. His result opened a new page in Uzbek weightlifting.
Recall that the national team of Uzbekistan finished the competition in sixth place in the team standings, winning 3 gold, 1 silver and bronze medals each.
