The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan laid flowers at the Independence Monument

    The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, visited the New Uzbekistan Park.

    The distinguished guest laid flowers at the Independence Monument.

    During a tour of the complex, the representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan delegation were introduced to this ensemble’s ideological content and architecture.

    The New Uzbekistan Park and the Independence Monument were built in honor of the thirtieth anniversary of the country’s independence.

    More than three thousand years – that’s how deep the roots of the history of national statehood are on the country’s territory. Any person contemplating the monument will witness the artistic embodiment of this glorious past.

    It has become a tradition for high-ranking guests and official foreign delegations to lay flowers at the monument during a visit to Uzbekistan.
