The President of the Senate held a direct dialogue with the youth of our country

    On December 25 of this year, as part of the Youth Forum in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, an open dialogue "Leader and youth" was organized with the Chairman of the Senate.

    It was attended by senators, members of the Youth Parliament, young deputies, enterprising, active and talented youth from various fields, laureates of state prizes and scholarships, representatives of the media. Thanks to this event, over a thousand young people have been reached online and offline.

    During the dialogue, the Chairman of the Senate T. Narbayeva focused on practical work, reforms, opportunities created for young people, priorities and legislative innovations in the field of youth policy of the country.

    It was noted that 106 laws and regulations on youth policy have been adopted over the past six years, the rights and freedoms of young people have been further consolidated, and the legal framework for protecting their legitimate interests has been improved.

    It was emphasized that these reforms indicate that the issue of youth has acquired the status of state policy in the New Uzbekistan.

    There are more than 19 million young people under the age of 30 in our country, which is about 60% of the total population. Such an indicator is an incomparable source of wealth for any developed and developing country.

    It is recognized that at the initiative of the President, the issue of comprehensive support for youth in all areas, including education, entrepreneurship, social assistance and other areas, has been raised to a new level.

    Thus, the coverage of higher education has increased 4 times over the past 6 years (from 9 percent to 38 percent). 151 thousand . Students were given preferential educational loans in the amount of 1.7 trillion soums.

    A completely new system has been introduced aimed at ensuring youth employment and solving its problems - the "Youth Notebook". This year alone, 282 thousand young people received assistance in the amount of 416 billion soums. 124 thousand young people have been trained in professions, 133.8 thousand in entrepreneurship.

    A new system of lending to youth entrepreneurship has been established, preferential loans in the amount of 6.2 trillion soums have been allocated to 253 thousand 789 boys and girls.

    s a result of these practical works, over the past 6 years in our country, the number of entrepreneurs under the age of 30 has increased 8 times and exceeded 750 thousand.

    Our youth make full use of these opportunities and fully express themselves in society.

    In recent years, 758 talented and selfless young people who have made a worthy contribution to the development of our country have been awarded various state awards.

    Attention is focused on the fact that the creation of Youth parliaments under the chambers of the Oliy Majlis is of great importance in terms of increasing political and legal awareness and literacy, social activity of young people, protecting their legitimate interests and involving young people in the legislative process.

    During the dialogue, the President of the Senate stressed that young people should pay special attention to some issues.

    In particular, the organization of public discussions among young people on laws considered in local Kengashes and chambers of the Oliy Majlis, bringing young people to the Senate and its committees thoughts, ideas and proposals on important issues through their representatives in the Youth Parliament, further expansion of international cooperation in the field of youth policy, establishing ties with the youth of foreign countries, mutual exchange experience, as well as an increase in the number of young deputies in parliament and local councils in accordance with the number of boys and girls.

    During the dialogue, enterprising, active and talented youth representatives from various fields spoke and expressed their opinions about the effective work carried out on youth policy in our country, its role in their lives. They also put forward a number of proposals regarding interaction and constant communication with the Senate.

    The young people expressed interest in the regular organization of such meetings in the traditional form.
