Previously, Jizzakh region was a region with one of the lowest indicators of industrial production per capita. Today, the industry is actively developing in every district of the region.

To date, 27 projects have been implemented in the economic zone and about 5.3 thousand jobs have been created. In recent years, its activities have expanded and it has become even more convenient to do business here. Now enterprises produce a wide range of industrial goods.

In October 2022, Iruskon confectionary company started working in the FEZ. The Head of state inspected its technological process and products.

Based on the experience of Russia, Türkiye, Germany and Italy, confectionery products are made under the brand Deya. The annual capacity is 12 thousand tons of products. About 100 people are provided with work. For the implementation of the second stage, it is planned to bring additional equipment worth $5 million from Germany and Türkiye next year. As a result, 550 new jobs will be created.

Another enterprise of the free economic zone is Master Building Products LLC. It produces 3 million units of pipes, fittings and construction materials per year. About 600 jobs have been created. The Head of state got acquainted with the showroom of the enterprise.

Global Optical Communication Uzbekistan-South Korea joint venture produces 85 thousand kilometers of cable and wire products per year. It employs 115 people.

During the visit to the enterprises, the President gave recommendations on increasing the level of localization, the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products.

Currently, 14 more projects are being implemented in Jizzakh FEZ, 5 of which will be commissioned this year.
