Interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia is developing

    First Deputy Chairman of the Senate Sodik Safoev met with members of the delegation headed by Chairman of the Interparliamentary Friendship Committee "Saudi Arabia-Uzbekistan" of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Abdulaziz al-Jarba.

    During the meeting, topical issues of further expansion of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries, further intensification of trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and inter-parliamentary exchanges in various fields were discussed.

    Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia contributes not only to the strengthening of bilateral relations, but also to regional stability and development.

    It was noted that the scale of cooperation between the two countries has been expanding in recent years.

    M.Al-Jarba highly appreciated the activities of the Institute of Parliament in Uzbekistan and expressed readiness for further expansion of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. As he noted, inter-parliamentary relations are important for the development of not only political dialogue, but also cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

    During the conversation, it was emphasized that relations between the two countries are consistently developing within the framework of such reputable international organizations as the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

    At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further expansion of bilateral relations, in particular, inter-parliamentary ties.
