"Military personnel of the 201st military base of the Central Military District (CVO) have arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in the joint tactical exercise of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan Hamkorlik-2025. The units marched as part of columns of military and special equipment through the mountains of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan with a length of more than 300 kilometers and arrived at the Termez training ground in the Republic of Uzbekistan," the report said.
The ministry added that the personnel overcame the ascents and descents from high-altitude roads, as well as narrow sections of the mountain serpentine on BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, Ural vehicles, and special equipment based on the Kamaz vehicle.
The joint Russian-Uzbek tactical exercise Hamkorlik-2025 will be held at the Termez training ground from July 15 to 21. The military contingents will work out the management of units when detecting and destroying small groups of illegal armed formations (IAF) in border areas that have violated the border, the management of units when destroying IAF groups that have occupied structures and positions in border areas, the occupation of captured structures and positions by combined arms units, fighting small enemy groups, as well as organizing an assault and mopping up a settlement occupied by illegal armed groups.
The Russian military contingent will be based on units of the 201st military base of the Central Military District: mountain and assault units, mobile electronic warfare groups, reconnaissance UAVs and FPV drones, as well as crews of the aviation group on Mi-24 attack helicopters.
The 201st military Base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia's largest military facility outside its borders. It is located in the cities of Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It consists of motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance, air defense, missile defense and communications units.
