Such large-scale construction work has never been carried out in the region before. In recent years, dozens of factories have been launched, and new industrial sectors have emerged. Accordingly, social infrastructure is also developing.
The site of the New Uzbekistan residential area was previously vacant. Now, it is a bustling construction site that spans 140 hectares. The project involves the construction of 105 multi-storey buildings with 3,936 apartments in three stages. The houses will have 9, 12, and 16 floors, which is also new for Jizzakh.
Currently, as part of the first stage, four multi-storey buildings with 204 apartments, a central boiler room, a showroom, and internal roads have been built. It is planned to build 16 more houses, a school, a preschool education institution, and a shopping center. Inno-Technopark will help the population find employment.
The second stage is planned for 2026, and the third for 2028. In addition to the houses, a mahalla center, a clinic, a mosque, a hotel, children’s and sports grounds, and the New Uzbekistan Park will be built. Trees will be planted in the residential area, and alleys will be created.
The President instructed the building of additional houses beyond the plan for the current year and providing the population with the opportunity to purchase housing on a preferential mortgage. The importance of accelerating the construction of infrastructure, schools, and kindergartens, as well as developing trade and services, including creating public catering centers along the roads, was emphasized.
Three such areas are being built in Jizzakh region, in which 156 multi-storey buildings with 4,700 apartments will be built. The population will be provided with all social services. The initiative for constructing the New Uzbekistan residential areas began in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of December 9, 2021.
