In accordance with the amendments, the period of mandatory replacement of all old-style national driver's licenses and motor vehicle registration certificates has been extended as follows:

• issued in the period up to 2010 - must be replaced by March 31, 2023;
• issued in 2010-2012 - must be replaced by June 30, 2023;
• issued in 2013-2015 - must be replaced by September 30, 2023;
• issued after 2015 - must be replaced by December 31, 2023.

Certificates that will not be replaced before the above deadlines are considered invalid.
