The holy month of Ramadan in Uzbekistan will begin on March 11

    Last week, at the initiative of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, an online meeting of the Fatwa Council of Turkic-speaking states such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Azerbaijan was held.

    The meeting thoroughly analyzed the work of scientists and industry experts on the observation of the Ramadan crescent, astronomical calculations, and astronomical data.

    Information from the world's largest fatwa departments and prestigious astronomical institutes was also reviewed in detail.

    The ulama of the Turkic states, based on the rules of Fiqh, took note of astronomical calculations and astronomical observations and came to the unanimous opinion that the first day of Ramadan 1445 AH falls on Monday, March 11, 2024.
