    Uzbekistan is studying Singapore's best practices in biotechnology and regenerative medicine

    An Uzbek delegation consisting of deputies of the Oliy Majlis, as well as experts from the Ministry of Health, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry and other departments visited Singapore to study best practices in the production of biotechnological products based on cellular technologies, as well as legislative regulation practices in this area.

    During the visit, negotiations were held at leading scientific and medical institutions in Singapore, including the National Cancer Institute at the National University (NCIS), the National University Health System (NUHS), the Institute of Advanced Cell Therapy Research (ACTRIS), as well as in specialized companies Esco Lifesciences and Gene Oasis.".

    The members of the Uzbek delegation got acquainted in detail with Singapore's best practices in the field of cell and gene cell therapy, organization of clinical trials, as well as production processes based on international GMP standards. Special attention was also paid to the regulatory framework governing this area.

    It is expected that Singapore's best practices and practices applied here will be used in the development of an appropriate regulatory framework and proposals for the planned establishment of a Center for Regenerative Medicine and Biotechnology Development in Uzbekistan.
