From March 12 to 14, young people from Uzbekistan participated for the first time in the annual forum organized by the United Nations Youth Initiative within the framework of the 67th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND).

The event brought together 35 young participants from 27 countries, where they discussed important issues of drug use prevention and youth health promotion, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.

The Youth Forum has become a platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences and perspectives of young leaders from around the world. Participants from Uzbekistan admired new concepts and initiatives, and also enjoyed the opportunity to communicate and learn from their peers from different countries.

Gada Wali, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, warmly welcomed the young leaders, encouraging them to use this forum for learning and interaction. Jean-Luc Lemahieu, Director of Policy Analysis and Public Relations, also stressed the importance of this event in the development of youth initiatives.

The participation of young people from Uzbekistan in the Youth Forum is designed to contribute to the creation of a healthier and safer society in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals. It also confirms the desire of young people to actively participate in solving global problems and sharing experiences to achieve common goals.
