The International Monetary Fund estimates that the total global economy will reach about $219 trillion in PPP terms in 2026.

When comparing economies by PPP, the global rating differs markedly from the indicators of nominal GDP. Although the United States remains the world's largest economy by nominal GDP, China has been the leader since 2014, taking into account PPP. Its economy is estimated at about $43.5 trillion versus $31.8 trillion in the United States.

Other Asian countries also play a significant role in the global economy. Today, the Asian region provides about 49% of the world's economic volume, strengthening the continent's position as an important center of international trade and production.

India ranks third in the world in terms of GDP (PPP) with about $19.1 trillion. This is followed by Japan ($6.9 trillion), Indonesia ($5.4 trillion) and South Korea ($3.5 trillion). The lower cost of living in these countries increases their PPP figures.

According to estimates for 2026, Uzbekistan ranks 55th in the world, and its economy is about $511 billion (PPP). In the ranking, the country is next to such countries as Portugal ($556 billion), Denmark ($529 billion) and Greece ($485 billion).
