Uzhydromet: mudslides and floods are possible in eight regions of Uzbekistan

    Due to the expected heavy rains on June 20-24, rural flood events are possible in the foothills and mountainous regions of the republic.

    According to the Uzhydromet service, they can go to:

    Kashkadarya region: Yakkabag, Dehkanabad, Chirakchi, Kitab, Shakhrisyabz, Kamashinsky, Guzar districts;

    Surkhandarya region: Saryasi, Uzun, Altynsay, Denau, Baysun, Sherabad, Shurchinsky, Kumkurgan, Muzrabatsky districts;

    Samarkand region: in Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurabad, Koshrabad, Kattagurgan, Payaryk, Jambai, Ishtykhan districts;

    Jizzakh region: Zaamin, Bakhmal, Gallyaral, Sharaf Rashid, Farish, Yangiabad districts;

    Tashkent region: in Akhangaran, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Pskov, Urtachirchik, Yukorichirchik districts and the cities of Angren, Almalyk;

    Namangan region: Papal, Kasansai, Chartak, Chust, Namangan, Yangikurgan districts;

    Ferghana region: Sokh, Shakhimardan, Ferghana, Besharyk districts;

    Andijan region: in Andijan, Asakin, Jalakuduk, Kurgantepa, Pakhtaabad, Izbaskan, Khozhaabad, Marhamat districts and the city of Khanabad, rural flood phenomena are possible.

    Citizens living in foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers and drivers traveling to mountainous areas are asked to take precautions.

    Rainwater accumulation is possible on the territory of the republic, which can lead to flooding of territories.
