Japan will provide Uzbekistan with mobile medical containers worth more than $6 million free of charge

    On July 2, 2024, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Hatori Takashi signed Exchange Notes of the "Economic and Social Development Program" in the amount of 3 billion yen ($6.3 million), implemented as part of gratuitous assistance from the Government of Japan.

    Thus, Uzbekistan will be provided with four additional medical mobile containers equipped with scanners for computed tomography, X-ray equipment, which will allow providing effective medical care with visits throughout the country.

    The parties expressed their commitment to further development of cooperation, including improving access to high-quality medical services in Uzbekistan.

    Computed tomography scanners are indispensable in the diagnosis of a number of diseases. The mobile medical container can be deployed anywhere, including in emergency situations.
