At the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of a promising project aimed at providing expanded access to inclusive education, social services and legal assistance in Surkhandarya region.

This project provides for the opening of 10 inclusive multilingual preschool groups on the basis of preschool educational organizations in Surkhandarya region, including for children from linguistic and ethnic minorities.

Within the framework of the project, UNICEF will provide assistance in the form of covering the costs of repairs, equipping group rooms with furniture, toys, educational materials, as well as by providing methodological support.

Recall that Ms. Teresa Gonzalez recently visited Surkhandarya region on a working visit. During the visit, she had the opportunity to have conversations with responsible employees of the Department of Preschool and School Education of Surkhandarya region, directors, methodologists and educators of pre-school educational organizations selected according to the project.
