During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in the field of preschool education, as well as a wide range of issues related to the implementation of a joint project aimed at building a comprehensive center for the training, education and development of teaching staff and an innovative preschool educational organization in Tashkent.
In her opening speech, the head of the Korean delegation highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out in recent years in the Republic of Uzbekistan, including in the field of early development of young children, which are being implemented under the guidance and close attention of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was noted that the Korean side is striving to build capacity in promoting mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of preschool education.
At the same time, Ms. Park Sunjin stressed that the KOICA representative office in Uzbekistan is open to expanding dialogue and areas of interaction within the framework of the ongoing project, including through the introduction of new components aimed at improving the quality of preschool education and the development of professional competencies of a teacher.
The parties agreed that the Integrated Center for the Training, Training and Development of Pedagogical Personnel and the Innovative Preschool Educational Organization, which are being built within the framework of the joint project, will become another tool for adapting and introducing advanced foreign experience into the preschool education system of the republic and further improving the preschool education system as the most important link of the unified system of continuing education.
According to the Director of the KOICA representative office in Uzbekistan, the successful activity of the Agency to increase the number of non-governmental preschool educational organizations deserves special attention. In this context, the representative of an international non-governmental organization expressed readiness to provide the Uzbek side with all possible assistance in the development of this direction.
Following the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on continuing joint work in the development of the preschool education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the need to accelerate the implementation of the project aimed at building a comprehensive center for the training, education and development of teaching staff and an innovative preschool educational organization in Tashkent.
