The 7th meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish intergovernmental Commission was held in Ankara

    On December 26 of this year, the 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey was held in Ankara (Turkey).

    The event was hosted by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan - Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov and Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz.

    Topical issues of cooperation between the two countries were discussed at the meeting. In particular, based on Turkey's experience in the field of pharmaceuticals, building materials, leather and footwear, textiles, furniture, jewelry and glass production, it is important to establish cooperation in the training of qualified specialists in these fields in Uzbekistan.

    It was decided to create a list of the main problems in these areas and work together to eliminate them during the year.

    It was noted with satisfaction that agreements have been reached in Uzbekistan on improving the national system of qualifications and professional standards based on the experience of Turkey, the creation of an "Uzbek-Turkish" monocenter, and the training of qualified specialists.

    The Turkish Ministry of Trade reported that in the near future the issue of sending leading companies in the six above-mentioned industries to Uzbekistan will be worked out.

    According to the information service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, following the meeting, the protocol of the 7th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey, as well as an "Action Plan" and seven bilateral documents were signed.
