Measures to increase the volume of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed in Moscow

    On July 8 of this year, as part of a visit to the Russian Federation, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov took part in the first meeting of the Working Group on Increasing Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia, and also visited the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade.

    At the meeting of the Working Group, with the participation of heads of relevant ministries, departments, and industry associations, a wide range of issues related to measures to expand trade relations between the two countries were considered.

    In his speech, Laziz Kudratov emphasized the reference character of the development of Uzbek-Russian relations, achieved thanks to the firm political will and trusting relations between the Heads of the two States.

    The positive dynamics of stable growth in trade turnover has been noted - 2.5 times over the past 7 years and by 30% since the beginning of this year, including within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia. At the same time, the structure of goods has dramatically expanded and the share of products with high added value has increased.

    It was noted that our countries have all the necessary opportunities to achieve the target set by the Heads of the two States - the volume of mutual trade of $ 30 billion by 2030.

    The implementation of a joint action plan to increase the volume of mutual trade between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation for 2024-2030 is of great importance for the fulfillment of this task.

    During the meeting, the parties reviewed in detail the current state and worked out joint measures to accelerate the implementation of the points of the document.

    On the same day, in accordance with the business program of the visit, Laziz Kudratov visited the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade, where Rector Vittoria Idrisova presented the created conditions for high-quality education of students. The details of cooperation between MIPT and VAVT on the opening of a branch of the Academy in Tashkent, as well as the implementation of a program for training and advanced training of specialists in the field of foreign economic activity were discussed.
