During the meeting, the Latvian side was provided with detailed information on the reforms being implemented in the healthcare sector of Uzbekistan, as well as discussed issues of developing cooperation and implementing joint projects in the field of medicine, education and pharmaceuticals, the Dune news agency reports.
The Minister noted that the Latvian side is interested in strengthening cooperation in almost all areas of healthcare, given the active development of the medical sector as a result of the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan. In particular, he expressed interest in establishing direct links between medical and educational institutions of the two countries, introducing the exchange of specialists and implementing projects in the field of pharmaceuticals.
