The event will be organized by the Administration of the People's Republic of China for the Press and Distribution of Literature in Foreign Languages (China International Communications Group, CICG), according to the news agency "Dunyo".
A thematic cultural event "I read China" will also be held as part of the ceremony. These steps are aimed at deepening humanitarian exchanges and cooperation between China and Uzbekistan ahead of the 24th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State.
The opening of the China Book Center abroad is a global cultural communication project launched by CICG in 2015 under the leadership of the Press Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It has already been implemented in more than ten countries. As a showcase of Chinese culture, the project has made a positive contribution to the development of humanitarian exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries.
The Uzbek branch will feature books on politics, economics, philosophy, art, traditional Chinese medicine, children's literature and other printed materials donated to the Center by the CICG leadership.
