The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zamin International Public Foundation Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, UNICEF Executive Director Ted Chaiban, Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova, Deputy Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs Dilnozakhan Kattakhonova, representatives of international, state and public organizations.

From October 1 to 5, a Central Asian youth environmental camp was organized in Samarkand, aimed at developing a Central Asian strategy to promote a culture of sustainable development and involve children and youth in the climate agenda. The event was attended by 60 eco-activists, scientists and representatives of foreign organizations from 5 countries, who discussed the strategy for the development of a culture of sustainable development in Central Asia. Also, an intellectual game "Eco-Zakovat" was held as part of the eco-camp.

It is worth noting that during the event, young eco-activists put forward a number of initiatives to achieve a common goal - to preserve the environment and make the world a better place. Among the proposals: the creation of a Youth Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, providing an opportunity to vote and comment on the regulations and eco-programs being developed, taking into account volunteer activity during employment and admission to university, compensation for lost vegetation, the creation of artificial forests, improving the ecological culture of the population, especially among young people, reducing harmful emissions by financing eco-startups, increasing the production of electric vehicles and improved catalysts for fuel-powered vehicles.

At the end of the eco-camp, tree seedlings were planted on the territory of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" and a commemorative plaque was signed.

The main goal of the CA Ecolager is to recognize the role of youth in actions to combat climate change, to provide a platform for young eco-activists to put forward proposals and eco-initiatives, as well as the integration of the youth environmental movement in Central Asia.
