The state of implementation of the roadmap for the implementation of the Law "On Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues" was discussed at a meeting of the Senate Committee on Science, Education and Health of the Oliy Majlis.

The meeting was attended by members of the Committee, experts, chairmen of the relevant standing committees of the Jocarga Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city Councils of People's Deputies, representatives of ministries, departments and the media.

It was noted that some work is being carried out to implement the "roadmap" for the implementation of the Law "On Transplantation of human organs and tissues".

In order to ensure the fulfillment of the task of determining the procedure for transplantation of organs and (or) human tissues, Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 333 "On measures to regulate transplantation of organs and (or) human tissues" was adopted, and the Ministry of Health issued a number of orders.

Republican medical institutions are provided with immunogenetic analyzers and reagents to prepare donors and recipients for transplantation.

At the meeting, the senators also focused on some of the outstanding tasks identified by the roadmap for the implementation of the Law.

In the regions, no working rates have been allocated for the employee responsible for transplantation to prepare donors and recipients for transplantation and follow-up, and a medical psychologist. The issue of allocating hospital beds (at least 10) within the available places for the preparation of donors and recipients for transplantation and subsequent treatment in the regions has not been resolved.

The construction and equipment of the building of the special practice complex has not been completed at the expense of the Fund for the Promotion of Rehabilitation of Persons Suffering from oncohematological and intractable Diseases.

In addition, specific measures have not been taken to allow students of higher medical schools to work with a corpse.

The meeting also heard information from the heads of ministries and departments responsible for improving the field of human organ transplantation. The senators made suggestions and recommendations to eliminate existing problems in this area.

Following the meeting, the relevant decision of the Committee was made.
