Uzbek-Iranian Business Forum held in Tehran

    Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, khokimiyats of Bukhara and Samarkand regions, more than 65 entrepreneurs from various regions of our country took part in the international exhibition "Iran Expo- 2024" in Tehran.

    More than 2,000 business representatives from 120 countries, more than 800 Iranian companies demonstrated their trading opportunities on this site, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    A business forum was held at the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tarbiat Modares University with the participation of representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and Iran.

    The meeting was attended by members of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Joint Iranian-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, the leadership of the Iranian Trade Development Organization, representatives of more than 80 Iranian companies, managers of over 50 companies in Uzbekistan.

    Ambassador of Uzbekistan Fariddin Nasriyev familiarized the participants of the business forum with the opportunities and advantages created for investors and entrepreneurs in our country, and also made a presentation on the trade, economic and investment potential of the republic.

    The participants were also provided with information on the creation of a separate industrial zone for Iranian enterprises in the Khorezm region in order to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. It is proposed to implement joint projects in this industrial zone.

    The leadership of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated that at the moment the trade turnover between the countries does not correspond to the existing potential, and that there are all opportunities to increase the volume of mutual trade to $ 1 billion. The Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed its readiness to make every effort to do this. It was stressed that the business forum will serve to accelerate trade and economic relations between Iran and Uzbekistan.

    Within the framework of the business forum, bilateral meetings and negotiations in the B2B format were held between companies and representatives of the business circles of the two countries.
