The forum was opened by the Chairman of the Government of XUAR Erkin Tuniyaz and the Secretary General of the SCO Zhang Ming, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.
The forum is attended by heads of tourist administrations, representatives of international organizations, government and business structures, experts in the field of tourism.
The participants will discuss joint initiatives for the development of the tourism industry in the SCO space.
Recall that the SCO Forum was the first thematic forum within the framework of the Year of Tourism, which was announced in 2022 during a meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO member States in the city of Samarkand.
