The Council was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated March 14, 2025 "On measures to further improve the family and women's support system," the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.
Its activities are aimed at strengthening the role of women in the business environment, protecting their rights and providing the necessary legal, financial and practical assistance.
The Council has the right to directly represent the interests of women entrepreneurs in Parliament, as well as initiate programs aimed at developing their businesses.
It consists of 27 members, 21 of whom are women who are actively engaged in entrepreneurial activities. On their initiative, 2,639 new jobs were created in the country, the export volume reached $ 7.6 million, and the trade turnover amounted to 402.8 billion soums.
Nozimakhon Davletova, who heads the Department of Information and analytical support for foreign policy and foreign economic cooperation in the Department of External Relations of the Presidential Administration, was appointed Chairman of the Council. Nodira Shotursunova, who holds the post of Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Dilfuza Nurmatova, CEO of Hamroh, became her deputies.
