The khokim of the capital welcomed the guest and expressed gratitude for organizing the training of a group of chefs and cooks from Tashkent sent by the khokimiyat to improve their skills.
Andre J. Cointreau, thanking the khokim for the hospitality and reception that took place despite the busy schedule, shared his impressions: the last time he visited Uzbekistan was in 2011, and when he arrived this time, he was pleasantly surprised by the cardinal changes and reforms that took place in the capital.
Mr. Cointreau said that currently 56 branches of the culinary Academy operate in 29 countries of the world, and expressed interest in opening another branch in Tashkent on mutually beneficial terms.
The Khokim of Tashkent expressed hope that Uzbekistan will become the first country in the CIS to open a branch of the French Academy, a world leader in training specialists in the field of culinary arts and hotel services.
The parties agreed to continue the dialogue after studying the mutual conditions and opportunities.
