According to the Decree, the Karshi State Technical University will be established on the basis of the Karshi Institute of Engineering and Economics, the Karshi Institute of Irrigation and Agrotechnologies, the Karshi branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technology named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi and the Shahrisabz branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.

Training, retraining and advanced training of engineering personnel in the fields of engineering, geology, manufacturing, construction, transport, energy, information technology and programming, service provision, irrigation systems and agricultural technologies will be determined by the main objectives of the university.

Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year:

· The volume of personnel training in such areas as renewable energy sources, ecology and environmental protection, and environmental engineering will be increased;

· A system is being introduced to assess the indicators of student learning and the effectiveness of the teaching staff based on international standards;

· The provision of all necessary services to students on organizational and legal issues arising in the course of study is being established on the basis of the "single window" principle by creating an Educational Services Center;

· Separate groups will be organized for gifted students with teaching in foreign languages.

All students studying at the universities listed above will continue their studies at the University and starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, graduate students will receive a University diploma in accordance with the established procedure.
