Three solar photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 500 MW will be built in Bukhara, Namangan and Khorezm regions, within the framework of the “Scaling Solar 3” project.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the implementation of the third project based on a public-private partnership is scheduled for February 2021, and its investors will be identified through a tender.

On October 18, 2019, UAE’s Masdar won the tender for the construction of a 100 MW power plant in Navoi region within the framework of “Scaling Solar 1”. An agreement was signed to attract consulting services and increase the capacity of the Scaling Solar project to 1000 MW solar power plants. At the beginning of this year, a tender was announced for the construction of two power plants for the Scaling Solar 2 project in Samarkand and Jizzakh regions with a total capacity of 400 MW. A tender is currently being held for these projects.
