During the event, international efforts to resolve the Afghan crisis and provide humanitarian and other assistance to the country as soon as possible were discussed.

The sides also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan, the development of a consolidated position of the international community, both in relation to the new authorities of the country, and the prospects for establishing sustainable and long-term peace in Afghanistan.

It was noted the importance of providing assistance for the economic reconstruction of Afghanistan, the implementation of various infrastructure projects in the country, in particular, in the energy and transport and communication spheres.

Following the results of the event, a joint statement was adopted, in which the participants supported the proposal of the Uzbek side to create an international negotiating group under the auspices of the UN, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
