Employees of the Center for Advanced Technologies under the Ministry of Innovative Development held a series of presentations in the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan at the Dubai Expo 2020. The presentation of the Center for Advanced Technologies on cellular Technologies, the introduction of regenerative technologies in medicine, vaccines and drugs developed by Uzbek scientists against COVID-19, immunization of the population during the coronavirus pandemic aroused great interest among the participants.

One of the projects is dedicated to the development of the Center in the field of cellular technologies. At the initiative of the Center's staff and with the support of the Ministry of Innovative Development, a platform has been organized that allows for a full technological cycle for the procurement and storage of human cord blood stem cells. As part of the scientific project, work is already underway to accumulate samples of human hematopoietic stem cells from umbilical cord blood, as the best alternative to bone marrow.

The staff of the Center also presented the main biotechnological products for biomedicine and talked about the prospects of their application. For the treatment of deep lesions of the skin and soft tissues, for example, burns, the technology of a cellular component for bioequivalent skin has been developed. For the treatment of diseases of internal organs, biomedical products based on adult abdominal fat stem cells are being developed.

In addition, protein recombinant and DNA vaccines against coronavirus infection developed by the Center for Advanced Technologies, diagnostic test kits, edible tomato vaccine developed by the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics of the Academy of Sciences, milk containing antibodies against coronavirus infection obtained by the International Center for Molecular Allergology and the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry are presented.

The exhibition of innovative development within the framework of "Dubai Expo 2020" continues.
