Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Sheikh Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani yesterday. They discussed the restoration project of the Bi-Khanum mosque in Samarkand.
Bilateral cooperation agreements have been signed with the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture and the Qatar Development Fund.
"The interaction will be aimed at joint work in the field of restoration of cultural heritage sites of Uzbekistan, which is of great importance both for our country and for the whole world," said Saida Mirziyoyeva.
