Public-private partnership projects in the social sphere were discussed with representatives of the International Finance Corporation

    On March 23 of this year, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gulnara Rakhimova held a meeting with representatives of the delegation headed by the chief investment expert of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), head of the project for the construction of secondary schools on the basis of PPP Alsad Mazen.

    The meeting was attended by Zakir Bazarov, Deputy Director of the Department for the Development of Public-Private Partnership and Reduction of State Functions of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Zafar Hashimov, Head of the IFC representative office in Uzbekistan, and Shaburkhan Shamakhmudov, a consultant on PPP projects.

    During the conversation, the parties discussed issues of interaction in the formation of public-private partnership projects, in particular, the development of school construction projects based on PPP based on the needs and capabilities of the regions, as well as control over the processes of financing projects, construction, commissioning of buildings, maintenance and organization of a school equipped with energy-saving technologies.

    At the end of the dialogue, the parties agreed to further expand and strengthen cooperation on the above issues, the press service of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance reports.
