The state of nutrition of children in preschool educational institutions of the Andijan region was discussed at a meeting of the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on Science, Education and Health.

Currently, there are 6,824 state pre-school educational organizations in the country, 1,172 of them have established outsourcing services by 83 entrepreneurs. In the remaining 5,652 state preschool educational institutions, children's meals are organized in the traditional way.

Since September 1, 2023, public preschool educational organizations in all regions of our country have organized meals for children based on a single seasonal 10-day menu compiled using a set of recipes for kindergartens.

In total, the Department of Preschool and School Education of the Andijan region has 549 state preschool educational organizations, which educate 122,386 children.

Catering for children is organized by outsourcing in 103 (18.8%) GDOO, canteens are leased to 7 outsourcing organizations. In the remaining 446 (81.2%) pre-school meals for children are organized by the district and city department of preschool and school education.

The senators drew attention to the fact that the nutrition of children in the studied state preschool educational organizations is not organized on the basis of the requirements of the Regulation on the Procedure for organizing healthy Nutrition in state preschool educational Institutions, approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 626 dated July 25, 2019.

Thus, the building of the state preschool educational organization No. 52 of the Shakhrikhan district is old, the external and internal premises of the dining room require repair, there are no tables, chairs and other equipment. The dining room does not meet sanitary and hygienic requirements, cleaning is not carried out, there are not enough dishes for children.

Also, when studying the created necessary conditions for cooking, high-quality reception and storage of food products, it was found that as a result of the non-acceptance of products by the recycling commission, low-quality food products were supplied to the state preschool educational organization No. 2 of the Kurgantepa district.

In the studied state preschool educational organizations, menus are not compiled on the basis of a Single seasonal 10-day menu, which contradicts paragraph 6 of the Regulation. The compiled menu does not agree with the territorial departments of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, and an act on making changes to the menu is not drawn up.

The meeting also heard information from the heads of ministries and departments responsible for the issue of nutrition of children in preschool educational institutions. The senators made suggestions and recommendations for solving existing problems in the field.

Thus, proposals have been made, such as establishing children's attendance through a biometric identification system (Face-ID) and keeping accurate records of food costs on this basis, increasing the responsibility of organization managers when accepting food products by catering commissions, as well as quality control of food supplies.

At the end of the meeting, the relevant decision of the Committee was made.
